We are very pleased to spotlight Tierra Soap Company as we love to support and carry products from local businesses.

Meet Richard and Addy, the owners of Tierra Soap Company located in New Haven, CT.

When they are not making soap, they are spending time with their two children, Joseph and Rosaly.

“We are sort of obsessed about living holistically and having fun in the process. Our journey in creating Tierra Soap began when we realized that we wanted to build something as a family but we weren’t quite sure what. Then the pandemic happened and we saw the need for sanitation. We prayed about it and did some homework and before we could blink, our first soap bar was born in our very own kitchen. With both our son and I having dry sensitive skin, picking the right ingredients became one of our top priorities. Our next priority would be creating a clean product for our planet.”

Richard and Addy are creating a practical clean product and leaving a legacy for generations to come.

Inspired by nature and every creature ever made, they set out to reimagine their relationship with our skin and the planet. “We wanted every Botanical ingredient to be placed in our soaps with our very hands.”

Our skin lets in nearly 70% of everything applied to its surface and in only 26 seconds. That’s 70% of all chemicals found in mass-produced skincare. At Tierra Soap, they develop soap in small batches using the cold process technique leaving you with nothing but quality products.

They got rid of the factory and got busy working with their hands and “la Tierra” (which is Spanish for earth). Turmeric, Shea butter, coconut oil, castor oil, almond oil, coffee grounds, kaolin clay, olive oil and organic rolled oats are just a few of their special ingredients.

You will feel and smell the difference, and you’ll have no one else but “La Tierra” to thank!
